I was just wondering...i heard that you have to be 14 years and 9 months before driving with an adult. But, can you begin driving at 14 years? Or do you really have to wait until you're 14 and 9 months?

Thanks to everybody who has answered!

it really depends on where you live. where I am you can't get your permit until your 16 and then six months after that you can get your liscense. The DMV probably has a website with all the info so check it out.

In my state you can only drive @ 16 yrs only after getting your permit & w/licenced adult. The only way to get a permit is @16 1/2 yrs or @ 16 if you took and passed drivers ed. If you ask me they should raise it to 18 yrs hands down. Kids today drive crazy.

DEPENDING ON WHAT STATE YOU ARE FROM. IN MAINE IT IS 15 OR 16 BUT 14 IS WAY TO YOUNG TO DRIVE SORRY.
