You do have a few options.
First, the obvious, is for one of you to have sex with a man. However, I believe that if you desired to have sex with a man, this wouldn't be a problem. Onto option 2.
You can also look into intrauterine insemination (IUI) or artificial insemination. Some people do the "turkey baster" method. While cheaper, it may not be the safest. With an IUI, the semen is washed to separate the sperm and to prevent infection. With a turkey baster, you are inserting a foreign object into a highly sensitive and infection-prone place. If you have regular cycles, you may be able to do a normal cycle IUI, which will cost you about $200-300 (informational link below).
Third, you can look into adoption. There is no such thing as an inexpensive infant adoption. You can adopt a child from social services for free, but the chances of actually getting a baby is slim. If you want an older child (or children) or a child with a disability, you shouldn't have a problem.
However, with adoption, you do have one other hurdle. Some states won't allow homosexual partners to adopt. Its very prejudiced. A promiscuous woman with 5 divorces is considered to be a more suitable parent than a lesbian couple that has been together for 10 years (in some states' eyes). Also, some international adoptions (in certain countries) require you to be married for a certain period of time and may not recognize a homosexual marriage.

I would ask a close friend of yours to be a sarrogate (sorry I spell bad) mother for you.
Otherwise their is adoption and that IS expensive.
You should try asking around if you have other friends that are lesbian or gay. There may even be a group in your community. It can't hurt to look. These groups can also be great for support in other areas.

My cousin and her girlfriend had an arrangement with a gay guy friend.
They had papers signed about no rights to the baby, no financial support expected, etc.
Then he provided a sample and they immediatley used a turkey baster.... and inseminated themselves. Took them three months but it worked..... they have the most beautiful baby boy !!!!
Not exactly what I would suggest, but a possibility ......

You can do artificial insemination DIY. Sperm from a bank can cost as little as a couple hundred dollars. Or if you have a suitable and willing male in your life, you can use a fresh sperm sample for artificial insemination.

perhaps find a male friend that is willing to father your child. There are sites that provide information about home insemination.

Find a friend who is willing to be a surrogate or visit a sperm bank and have one you get pregnant. Good luck.
