It's difficult to say exactly how long it will take any one individual or couple to get pregnant. Factors such as your age, general and reproductive health, and when you have intercourse all impact your chances of conceiving a child
However, these general statistics may give you an idea of how long it will take. Normally fertile couples have a 25 percent chance of getting pregnant each cycle, and a cumulative pregnancy rate of 75 to 85 percent over the course of one year. Still, some healthy couples can take even longer to get pregnant
And you can try to increase your likelihood of getting pregnant sooner by learning to pinpoint exactly when you ovulate, and by familiarizing yourself with the cyclic hormonal and physical changes that take place in your body each month.
I have included some links for you so you can do some reading and research on your body. OVULATION IS THE KEY TO GETTING PREGNANT! Remember that. These are the steps you need to take...
1.) Make an appt. with an OBGYN. He or She needs to give you a complete exam and make sure you are having regular periods, that your tubes are unblocked, and that you donot have anything else that may cause you to not get Pregnant ie...sexually transmitted diseases, PCOS, ect...
2.) You need to make sure that you are ovulating. Belive it or not, some women, do not ovulate. And as I said, Ovulation is the KEY to getting pregnant. To do this, you should buy a Basal Themometor (you can buy at almost any store where they sell regular themometors.) and start taking your temps EVERY MORNING BEFORE you get out of bed. to read more about this, check out this website for what they have to say about it.. http://www.mamasark.com/bbt.htm............
3.) you also need to learn to check your Cervix Position AND your Cervial Mucus everyday. To learn more about this check out these websites... http://www.webwomb.com/check_cervical_po...
and
http://www.webwomb.com/cervical_mucus_pa...
4.) Once you have got this all down you need a place to chart them all so that you can keep track of what your body is doing and when you ovulate. www.fertilityfriend.com is the best place to do this. It is a free site and it allows you to chart your temperature, your cervial mucus and position and helps detrmine when you ovulate.
*********OF COURSE YOU CAN ALWAYS JUST DO IT THE OLD FASHIONED WAY AND HAVE ALOT OF SEX AND HOPE FOR THE BEST! LOL But for your best chances, these are the steps you need to take!!*************
~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~PLEASE REMEMBER!!!! Even a 100% healthy couple only has a 40% chance of conciving each month, so dont get discouraged if it doesnt happen right away, even if you do all the things above. Just have fun with it, and do not make sex a chore or a job, just relax and enjoy eachother, and when the time is right, you will get Pregnant!
Good luck to you and TONS OF BABY DUST YOUR WAY!!!!! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Have you tried buying an ovulation kit? I used the 21 day kit that was at Walgreens. You start it the day after your period ends. You test each afternoon by peeing on a stick similar to a pregnancy test. You do this every day for 21 days. Usually somewhere around the 10th day you will find the stick turns positive. Once positive it usually lasts about 5 days. These are the days you want to get to it and start making a baby. The nice thing about this test is that you don't miss your ovulation, ie. if you ovulate early or late. I was ovulating on day 8 and 9 and so each month I was missing my peak fertility time.
I also used Dong Qui and herb at the drug store that is supposed to help ovulation. Once I ovulated I stoped using it because you don't want to continue taking any herbs if you might be pregnant.
Long story short, the first month I used both these products I got pregnant and knew with confidence when I ovulated, which made for a much better pregnancy time line for my doctor.
Good luck to you, I hope you get pregnant soon!

Well, I've been trying for years, but I have not given up hope. I know people that have tried for years and finally gotten pregnant. There are websites with all kinds of tips on how to get pregnant, like the positions that work best, and how to figure out what time of month works best for you and stuff like that. If you are just playing "hit and miss", then 7 months is not very long at all, and nothing to worry about yet. I went to a specialist, and after a zillion tests and stuff, the answer was "there's nothing wrong, just keep on trying!"

Well, I've been trying for 3 years and have not gotten pregnant. So, in all actuality, 7 months is not that long. Have your husband get his "goodies" tested before anything cause it's very in-expensive. Do you know when you ovulate? If not, buy a kit

u have to have sex when ur ovulating. u can go to www.mycycle.com and it will show it which days, depending on ur period. if u have done that make sure u guys finish with u on the bottom not top. and if u have to put a pillow under ur butt so that the sperm wont come out, or afterwards put ur legs up in the air to keep all the sperm in. try all that for a couple months. after a year if ur not pregnant go see a doctor.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under the buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

Adopt. Not only do you get a very special angel, it relieves the stress and pressure of "trying" to concieve on your own. Besides, then if you don't get pregnant, you still always have the child you've dreamed of.

Sometimes your body just knows if you are ready or not. I was so excited the 1st time we conceived but 3 months later I miscarried. All the Dr. told me was that your body wasn't ready.
I'd go see a specialist or talk more to your regular Dr.
Maybe he is sterile.

Try monitoring your period and talk to a doctor to find ways to know when you're most fertile. That will help out alot. I know this sounds crazy but when my husband and i were trying to conceive, after we did the dirty i would hold my legs up in the air to keep the sperm in ....i thought it would work faster or something, but that's how i had my first son.

The best thing to do is do not stress (stress reduces the opportunity to become pregnant) eat healthy (lots of fruits, veges, milk etc), drink lots of teas (especially green tea) and keep trying.
