Check with the clerk of the court in the county where it was handled. You will need to know the full name of at least one party, and the approximate date. They may accept a telephone request, may need to send a letter. They will charge you a few bucks for copies of the pleadings.

It would help if you knew the city and the state to begin. Then your go to "google" and look up how to get a marriage license and or a divorce in that city through the court system.

Check the county courthouse of the county where the divorce occured. Divorce decrees are filed there and are public record.
