A stud lesbian is one with some sort of identity crisis...They feel like they have to dress and act like a man to get a girl...In turn defeating tho whole purpose of being a lesbian in the first place...The females who are attracted to them are most of the time bisexual females who are ttrying to kill 2 birds in one stone...TRUE lesbians who are attracted to REAL WOMEN don't date studs...I know this may get a lot of negative feedback, but so be it. I'm sure there are lots out there who will agree...

100% Feminine african american lesbian.

Thts something I posted in another question in this section. I completely agree with you...150%...I just don't get it...But what gets me more are the other feminine women who are attracted to these "manly" looking females...It just defeats the whole purpose of being a lesbian...It makes me ashamed to be a lesbian at times...I have more to say, but in order to avoid conflict, I'll keep most of my opinion to myself....However, you should get the gist of what I'm attempting to impose here...

Well, I didn't realize that there was a "purpose" to being a lesbian. Silly me, I thought it was all about my feelings. I've been out for 23 years now, although when I was young (10) I wasn't as open as I am now, and I have dated all kinds of women. From very femme to pretty damn butch. Never have I been trying to "kill two birds with one stone" as I don't enjoy intercourse, so I don't even use toys, so the desire for a man or something close to a man has never been there. The women I have dated, I have been attracted too because of they way I felt about my self and my life when I was with them, not the way they looked. As homosexual people, don't you think we get enough criticism from others, do we really need to criticize each other? Does it really matter why we date who we date? Why don't gay men who date drag queens and very femme guys bother you? You can never understand why a woman might date a butch woman because you don't date them, you can never understand someones personal preference because you are not that person, The most you can do, and I hope you would, is to hear someones choice or feelings and accept them. Isn't acceptance what we all want any way?

Quick question. Why are we downing ourselves. The Mainstream straight community does it enough. Femme, butch, soft stud or trans, we're all in the same boat when you get down to it. If a butch aint what floats your boat then so be it. Personally I like femme women, but I know i can dress tomboy at times I also have alot of "Boyish ways" but when me and my girl go out, I'm femme all the way.
God, it's like dark skinned black people hating on light skinned black people. In the end all we have to stand up for us is each other. other peoples attractions aren't for us to understand it's for them to understand. Just like some straight people can't understand the love we have for our partners.

Live and let be, please.

I think butch lesbians want to be men and would love having a set of balls to match their haircuts. Gay men are like that too. The flamer, or the one that dresses female is trying to be female and wishes he was born with a vagina.

Its a mixed up world we're living in.

I would think that it up to the individual to dress/act whatever way is comfortable to them. Maybe being more masculine in appearance is because they are simply more masculine people. There are straight women who look/act masculine..and there are straight men who look/act more feminine. Just because a woman appears masculine certainly doesn't make her a man. It's personal preference. We should all make an effort to stop trying to put people in specific categories.. we're all just trying to get by!

Good question.. When I see lesbian couples, I tend to see one feminine one and one who looks and acts like a man. I don't know why, because a lot of lesbians want a girl, not a girl who acts like a man...

I have also always thought the same thing. I mean if your going to be lesbian. Why would you be with a girl that looks like a man? In that case you might as well be with a guy.

(personally I like the girlie type)such as jessica alba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So why not just date the femmes and be done with it? It's nice to know that people on the fringe can be so judgemental.

I've always thought the same thing, but I figured my questioning it was not credible since I'm not gay.
