I'm not preganent - I had a tubal 12 yrs ago. I do have a dr appt today and what they find out I'll post so that anyone else has the problem you might want to contact dr. Dr says this isn't good but without running tests they can't determine what it is. They have me scheduled for Mammogram and preg. test and blood work. I'll keep you informed

Results came yesterday. NOT preg. and no thyroid problem no infection no anything. everything came out normal. Even did a Prolactin test and it came out normal. Dr stated a medical term which i can not pronounce or even spell which she translated for me as "No medical reasoning" Dr wants to do some more tests like a sonogram, ultrasound just to make sure there is not a cyst or infection.

Leaking milk when you're not pregnant or lactating is called "galactorrhea". One cause is a usually benign growth in the pituitary gland that stimulates the production of the hormone prolactin, which causes milk production. (It is called a prolactinoma.) Milky discharge can also be a symptom of some kind of breast problem, though it is likely to be of benign origin. (Usually milky discharge is NOT indicative of cancer.) There is no connection between this symptom and menopause.

Regarding your comments, I am curious as to your doctor's "not good" analysis...let us know what happens.

You are not leaking milk, you are leaking colostrum. This is completely normal. Some women experience it fairly early in pregnancy, some experience it late in pregnancy, and some don't get it until they have the babby. Colostrum is what you produce before your milk comes in (that usually occurs a couple of days after giving birth). I suggest you get some nursing pads to prevent leaking through your shirts all the time.

Well I'm not so sure what the symptoms(for menopause) are but I know how to stop them from leaking, you can get dried walnut leaves(3/4 a cup; crushed)
and soak them in mineral water; warm squish them into thick peices of dough and leave them to drie for like an hour, the wet( like a few drops of water) and cover your breasts for 20 minutes and the will stop leaking, also you can use them in your bra.
Goodluck,
Hope you feel better soon..

Have you gotten results yet? I wonder if hormones can make the body produce milk again? I've read that under extreme circumstances, the body does crazy things. Is everything okay in your life. I will pray for you that all goes well and that it is just one of those things. Best.
