A leg extension machine would help a lot, but the most important thing is stretching to improve flexibility. A weak punter with a full range is better than a strong punter with short range -- it's all about kicking through the ball.

All depends on what your trying to accomplish. For accuracy..I would imagine practice makes perfect...
For increased distance and height you sould focus on hip extensor strength and speed. Punting is not about how strong you are..its about contact speed...sooo, improving leg speed is very important..power cleans and or many of the various other olympic lifts would be a good choice..

practice wearing a facemask with only one bar, wearing no real pads, running on and off the field real quick, looking bored and uninterested on the sidelines and being a pansy. and if you've got left over time, kicking the friggin ball

play soccer. all punters i know who play soccer have strong legs and kick accurately.

kick the ball then sprint after it then kick then sprint then kick then sprint. it helps endurance and flexibility. also stretch frequently and kick field goals
