According to the Travel Channel, the Burj al Arab in Dubai is the most luxurious hotel in the world. Gold fixtures, multi-story aquarium in the middle of the hotel, world class cuisine, and located on the ocean. Also, I don't know who asked this question, but the crown prince in Dubai is friendly towards Americans which makes that country a relatively safe middle eastern destination for us Yanks.

5 start on beach very hard to find u will get most of them as 7 stars
the hotel i spend my time just for fun was chalsea hotel in bur dubai
its 5 star plus good for tourist near to jumeirah and the dubai city so no problem while stay there

Midenat Jumairah (Jumairah City) is the best, there are 3 hotels on this :
1) Bait almasyaf (Summer house)
2) Mina Salam (Piece Port)
3) Alqasur (the Palace)
all of them are very hight standard you'll live like a prince , the beach is lovly

The merdian mina al seyagh, the ritz carlton, the oasis hotel, the jumeriah beach hotel. The Burj al arab is about 3000$ a night.

Burl Al Arab's not all that good, Jumeirah Beach hotel, next door, is much more fun.

isnt that the place with that new 7-star hotel that points up straight out of the sea. it isnt 5 star, but looks amazing

If you don't want to go up for higher stars, try meridien Mina Seyahi or Oasis or sheraton Jumeirah or hilton Jumeirah, they are all quite good.
