of pain and not my insition, but my back, and not the area where the needle was administerd, but on the upper left side of my back. It was really really bad for the first 2 weeks. It calmed down but it still bothers me. Does anyone know if the person who administered the epidural could have possibly done it wrong or could this be normal? Again its not in the same spot where the needle was given to me, it's furter up. I have never had this problem before or during the pregnancy. Also i went to a regular doctor to check it out and they said it's not muscular. So i didn't pull anything.

I've had three c-sections, but I never had that pain. It's not normal, I would call like the other lady said, someone who works at the hospital.

it may not be the epidural at all...i would start thinking of something gastrointestinal...i had my daughter c-section....i had a lot of back pain that i didnt for my son whom i also had an epidural for but not by cesarean. the difference was being opened for surgery allows your body to fill with air, my c-section caused soooooo much pain at times i thought i was having a heart attack. Here the entire time it had nothing at all to do with my epidural.

I have heard that lingering back pain (not necessarily at the site of the injection) from epidurals was common for vaginal and cesarean deliveries. I'd still ask your doctor what to do about it.

I really can't answer your question with a firm yes or no, but I can say my neighbor had a C-section five years ago and she has the same problem.

Call the hospital you had it done at and ask to speak to an anestiologist, that is who administers those and ask about it. It isn't normal.

5 months is way too long to wait. Find out what's going on and don't let them blow you off.
