That's hard.
Try Cayenne pepper sprinkled on top of them.
It is cheap and works with some animals.
Also, small mouse traps will scare them to death but could harm them. Mothballs work a little and are a farmer's first defense against raccoons and squirrels in an attic.
Soap sprayed on the top or insecticide will kill bugs and make the flowers taste less flavorful

I was told to try Irish Spring soap. I use a potato peeler to save off slices of it and sprinkle it around the younger plants that the rabbits seem to be going after the most. So far it has seemed to help somewhat, and it's a lot less expensive than those pepper wax sprays.

Placing moth balls around the plants will help. Also, the next time you get your hair cut, save the cut off hair and put it in with your flowers - the scent of a human in such close proximity will keep them away and won't harm the flowers or the soil.

Human hair seems to keep most critters away from my garden, most barber shops are glad to let you sweep up a bag and take it home with you. also take a wizz around your plants, make sure to stay in a perimeter around your plants, at least 2 ft away id say, thatll keep larger critters ,that are afraid of human hunting, away. if youre a girl then nvm.... or have a cousin come over and check out your garden, then tell him when he has to pee go around your plants, unless in your area that would be indecent exposure...

mix Chinese Hot Mustard with water and spray on your flowers...do this after each rain and/or about every 2 weeks. The animals don't like the smell or taste of the mustard.
Good Luck!!

You can get a motion sensored sprinkler that sprays anything that comes near. They don't like that stuff.
