I've heard stories that women "stretch out" during natural childbirth. I'm afraid that if this happens I will never enjoy sex again, and neither will my husband. Did you stretch out? How did it affect your sex life?

YES! very freaky actually, it will all go back to normal by 6 weeks. I was sure that I was ruined but my daughter is 4 mos and every thing has been back to normal for a long time now.

I've even heard that sometimes people will be smaller after having a baby

Both of my daughters were born vaginally and I have a great sex life :)

I am no doctor, but I believe that unless there is a complication, your body does go back to normal.

You can speak to your doctor, nurse or midwife about these things too. You don't have to be embarrassed.

Congratulations on your baby and Good Luck!

I stretched during child birth, I didn't rip or tear. It all went back to normal and I still enjoy sex with my husband

Natural childbirth is just that. Natural. EVERYTHING goes back to normal after. Sex is a little scary at first but only because everything is still tender. Just take it slow and do your klegels (sp?).

The Creator designed the birth canal to be strong and elastic. The mother does not need to be concerned with this subject. But if she is, there are Kegel exercises.

besides stretch marks, everything will go back to normal...especially if they stitch you back up....thats why some doctors say (while stitching) "and one more for your husband"...lol
