Well, i have had this same problem in the town i love in. People say that when a person wears all black its cause they are depressed. While this may be true in lots of cases, the fact is, black is just my favorite color. Like when a girl who likes pink smiles at the sight of it, i smile when i see black. I love it. Its so versatile. Any other color matches it. But what i did was wrote a letter to the editor of our local newspaper explaining that I'm no freak or not majorly depressed. I just love the color as anyone else loves red, blue, green or yellow. And i asked the community to stop being so narrow minded and judgmental just because i choose to be different. The looks and comments stopped shortly after that. Hope this helps~~blackrose

I think the way people dress shows their personality. (that or they are trying to be something they are not) A lot of people are not as accepting to different styles as others. I also think its horrible when people judge you on the way you dress. I think its wrong. I feel bad for people who get picked on or made fun of for how they dress. Its your decision. If you feel comfortable wearing nothing but a potato sack then I think you should wear nothing but a potato sack. Its your style and your personality where what you want and tell everyone else to p^ss off.

And they have to listen to my music. I wear black nail polish too. ppl need to get over it. i don't worship satan cause i like that music. They just don't understand

Its not right obviously, but you are choosing to dress differently than the norm. If you don't want people to look/speak to/notice you then you have to look like "them".
Also, I don't think it is just the black that is bugging them. If you wore an all black Armani suit, then you would be applauded for your style. You need to decide what you want to be noticed for and the reaction you are going to give people.
It is your life, but you also have to deal with your decisions.

Uh no that's so not right, you wear what you want to wear, clothes are simply clothes and that's that, it's a free country and if they don't like your clothes tell them you'll change your clothes when they buy you some... that ought to shut em' up! plus clothes don't show how you really are inside or what type of person you are!

I don't think it's right. Everyone should be allowed to express themselves in the way that they see fit and not be ridiculed for it. Those people who whisper about you are wrong to do so. Don't let them get to you.
