Take your conclusion, and work backwards. Find the question that your conclusion answers, and that's your intro.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag, of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, One nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for ALL! Why should any citizen of this great nation be repelled by the pledge of love of ones country? Is that not the reason our founding father's and new immigrants came here in the first place? How can you become a united country with a common goal of peace and prosperity if you are not united in the love of your land?"

Make your audience (whether your teacher at their desk or a classroom full of students) think about each and every word and what they mean. Make them take a closer look and investigate why someone would NOT want the pledge as opposed to blind opposition. BTW, I agree, I think the pledge is a vital part to a child's education in America. To those who would oppose by saying it's a religious infringement..... it doesn't say "MY God" or "YOUR God", it just says God.

Maybe you should start off with the controvercy about it from a few years ago and then go into your point of view, then maybe put in some questions to make the reader think like: Didn't we plaedge to make this country great? Why should we give that up now? Or something like that. Good luck and I hope I could help.
