You *could* be pregnant even with a negative test. If this is the case, test again in a week.
But you didn't really give enough information to know what the chances are. If, for instance, your period is not due for another week, you *cannot* have physical signs of pregnancy. You ovulate about 2 weeks before your period, and it takes at least about another week for the fertilized egg to travel to the uterus and start implanting. Until implantation, you cannot have any signs of pregnancy because the fertilized egg isn't attached to your body in any way. So if the signs started more than a week before your period was due, they are *not* because of pregnancy.
Keep in mind, too, that if your fiance came home more than 2 weeks before your period was due, his return could have caused you to ovulate late (and therefore, your period would be later than you expect it--although actually right on time, 2 weeks after ovulation). So even if you *are* pregnant, it could take an extra week or two to know for sure.
Good luck!!

I can't really give you an answer but I would like to know that answer as well. I thought that I was pregnant last month, but the test was negative. Now I have gained weight in my stomach as well. I'm thinking we should both just wait it out until its missed period time to take an HPT and if its really hard to wait any longer there is always a blood test which your doctor can either do for you or request one at your local hospital. Good luck and I hope you can get some good answers!

If you have already missed your period, you should take a pregnancy test. If the test comes back negative, and you still don't get your period and think you're pregnant, you should go to the doctor and have them take a blood test. Good luck!

Pregnancy test can be used and confirm pregnancy as soon as 48 hours of conception. You have to do it first thing in the morning because then is the biggest count of pregnancy hormones in your urin. But definately, 48 hours after conception it must show it.
Why don't you visit your doctor? He will take some blood and if you aren't pregnant maybe check if everything is ok with your health in general?
Good luck!

A home pregnancy test, but if its too soon for that, then its probably too soon for you to determine youre pregnant from weight gain and sickness. Its probably something else, but try to test again.

Tests can be taken within three week and weight gain doesn't occur for two to three months. Take a test and find out for sure.

You wouldn't start gaining baby weight that fast. Just wait it out and then take a test

Most home pregnancy tests will not show a result until you've missed your period. Early symptoms of pregnancy include nausea, sore breasts, peeing a lot, tired all the time.
