Interesting question, i wonder if anyone from Hartford cared that the Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup.

I certainly would not pull for any local team if they moved away.

I'm a Hartford Whalers fan. When the Whalers moved out, it ripped the heart of the city out and the city has not been the same since. I have not nor will I ever support Peter Karmanos and the Carolina Hurricanes. We rooted hard for Edmonton. I have not gone to an NHL game since and have no plans on supporting Gary Bettmans league until Bettman resigns. Then I may go to New Jersey for a game. (We'll never support Boston or the Rangers either). I support the fans of Hartford, Winnipeg, and Quebec City on getting their teams back. There is fan support. Bettman just didn't like smaller markets. Florida and Columbus are next on Bettmans list.

Good question. I think that most would, but I lost interest in my favorite FOOTBALL team when they moved.

I grew up an LA Rams fan. I live in New England, and in the 70s and 80s, the Pats were almost non-existent. They almost moved away. So, I adopted the Rams when they were in LA, because Jack Youngblood was my favorite player. When they moved to St. Louis, I tried to stay interested, but lost interest in a few seasons. When they won the Super Bowl, I didn't think of them as "my team".

Not going to cheer for them, but unlike the crybaby types I'm not going to hate them either. Get over it people it is a BUISNESS the teams are trying to make money as well. Do you stop supporting companies that move their HQ? Do you even pay attention? I bet teh answer to both of these is NO. So why do you do it to the teams, it is the SAME EXACT THING.

Considering I don't have a local team, I sure would. But, I'm a home team kind of guy. If we ever got a team here, I'd switch loyalties to them in any sport.

I'm a New York Rangers fan and if the Rangers moved I would still root for the Rangers. Their is no way I'd root for the Devils, Islanders, or Flyers. Also, I'm a Colorado Avalanche fan and after they left Quebec, I still rooted for them.

Yes. It would be the same as you moving to another state and rooting for your original home team.

Depends on where they move...I use to love the Whalers, but I don't like the Hurricanes.

As a Canucks supporter, if by chance they were to move, I'd only continue to support them if they moved to either Seattle, Portland or Winnipeg.
Any other city, nope, I'd support the Oilers or Flames.
