Though there are exceptions it seems like huge families are mainly in the poor populations. Using condoms is a heck of a lot cheaper than feeding all these kids. When I see articles about the poor families who need help, and then there's the picture of the 6 + kids, I just don't feel sorry for them anymore. They make me sick and the only charity I would like to give them is money towards spaying and fixing.

It's funny how people with lots of kids get all offended. I personally don't agree with having huge families but I'm referring about the ones who have kids even though they are so poor that they can't take care of the kids' basic necessities without help.

i agree. it boggles my mind when i see poor families with more kids than you can count on two hands. being poor doesn't always mean misery though. if they are a healthy loving complete family that works hard for what little they have they are usually rich in love and family. i hate to see the mothers with 9 kids on welfare. why did they have so many? get a job. i work a full time m-f job and a sat. & sun. part time job and a letter suffing job i do at home in the evenings. i have 2 children and am divorced from their father. i work hard to get us what we need and sometimes what we want and we are fine. you will never see me in a welfare line. i give my money to the real innocents,
the animals.

Here is an unaddress problem. We can go on and on about how we think it should be but the reallity is that the kids grow up receiving that same hatred from society that starts with discusions like this one.And sometimes the teacher who teaches the child feels the same way and it shows in the way the child issues are addressed. Its hard for someone to show love if they never really got love. There are no specifics when we should show some compasion.Dispite what situation a person get them selves in,if the situation does not involve you sometimes its best to keep your comments to your self.
I know you would rather give your tax dollars to kill some innocent Irac children than to feed some poor kids in your own country. The little we do today goes along way tomorow. That same hungry child might be the one stealing as a child to eat. When he becomes an adult who you think he's going to steal from.(the have or the have not).

I can understand if they can’t help having kids, like this is the 1920’s or something and birth control isn’t readily available, but it’s not and it is.
I remember seeing one girl giving birth on TV, this was her 4th child, she mentioned she couldn’t afford this child, when asked why she didn’t get an abortion she said that cost to much money? And raising a child is cheep? yeah of course it is, when the state foots the bill. Hell you even get money from the government the more kids you have.
I do not feel sorry for people who have kids, but can’t afford them, I feel bad for the kids. Most communities are outfitted with planned parenting offices, that provide free condoms and even provide education about sex, STD’s and Pregnancy. So the resources are there, just not utilized.
As to giving to those people:
Every year I pull one of those angels from the tree at the mall and buy a kid some toys, but I REFUSE to pick out the angel of an adult, who can get a job. A 5 year old, deserves a nice Christmas a 40 year old, needs to get a job.

Many people say that the children are innocent (even if the parents are not). While that may be true of a small minority of them, most of them are NOT innocent. Why? -because character traits are mostly genetic, such that the children harbor the same evil character as their parents.

Such people naturally reap as they sow, which is just, unless other people intervene. So-called 'charity' that is given to dirt-poor heavy-breaders, either voluntarily or forced by a government, should be illegalized, as it is unjust.

The user Bestbeinshape made a good point that such self-induced poor people are likely to steal from the 'haves'. The solution is to torture and execute any person that uses their self-induced poverty as an insanely self-righteous excuse for theft.

You might not feel sorry for the parents, but what about the kids stuck in poverty with no money for dental care or doctor visits. How will they be able to get the american dream if they have such a start. It is not the kids' fault that the parents made bad decisions.

You know I have read a lot of things in Answers that went against what I believe in and I have not commented negatively, but this one is it.

I have given birth to 6 children and still have 4 at home. We don't have much money but we have plenty of love. We do NOT need you or anyone else feeling sorry for us.

And you would spay me like a dog, huh? I just wish you could tell me that where I could hear it a little closer. Then folks would be feeling sorry for you.

yes i feel sorry for them, because the kids were not asked to be here and should not have to endure poverty. I can not be upset and say they should have used condoms the kids are already here and i could not punish the kids for their parents mistake so i say forget what the parents did or in this case did not do lets help feed and cloth the kids that are less fortunate than the rest of us.

Maybe they feel that some things are more important than having money. Maybe they weren't given a good enough education to understand about effective birth control. Maybe you're right and it's their fault and they brought their poverty upon themselves, but even if that's the truth, you still shouldn't treat people like animals. In all probability they're better than you'll ever be. So stop feeling all superior and start trying to understand the actual nature of the problem.

I feel bad that people in those situations did not realize what could happen after the fun over with. It is ignorance that I pity, but I cannot stand stupidity. They should know better if they did not want to end up the way they did. If they like living with that many kiddo's in that condition, fine. Happiness is in the eye of the beholder.

I don't feel sorry for them. I work hard to support my kids (3) I would never ask for help. I had them I will take care of them.I agree with the fixing part. I got fixed after my 3rd one. I knew my limits.
