Because we voted in a weak man into a powerful position. When you think President of the United Sates you think of an classy educated well spoken fearless leader who leads the people by example. Bush would not put himself or his same class family members into a war situation but will gladly send hundreds of thousands of men, women and young adults into. 18 year old kids are returning home seriously injured, hurt and dead both emotionally and physically. Their families changed forever and lives altered for eternity.

You know he is. I am beginning to think that it should be made law that for anyone to run for Presidential Office, they ought to pass a bar-exam too, like lawyers and District Attorneys. Why would he fight a war with no meaning, anyway? More importantly, why would he want to see his own work? Hitler didn't.

Bush didn't dodge the draft. Now Clinton-there's a draft dodger for you, but Bush served in the military. Unless you don't consider the National Guard to be service. If that's the case, you are going to ruffle lots of feathers-mine for example, since I have several cousins and a father in the Army National Guard.

He served in the National Guard, that's not a draft dodger. Are you mistaking him for your hero Bill Clinton who was a draft dodger, or maybe John, lessthanahero, Kerry? President Bush is Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and certainly can send our all VOLUNTEER Military to war. None of these people were forced into the military, they joined.

Actually, he didn't draft dodge, he went AWOL from the Air National Guard for approx. 6-9 mos.
His daddy bailed him out of trouble, and eventually let him honorably discharge, as sick as that is!
