What has the multitudes of efforts by governments and politicians produced so far:
1. United Nations - they haven't been able to unite the world or stop the wars.

2. Citizenship and racial prejudice laws - these are now being labelled as too cumbersome, and racist in themselves by encouraging positive discrimation.

What's really lacking is knowledge of who we are and knowledge of God.

From Vaisnavism (the original root of Hinduism) -the Bhagavad-Gita scripture is the only religious book which doesn't discriminate between races or try to inform anyone that they are the chosen few or slaves of anyone.

The Bhagavad-Gita teaches us that we are eternal spiritual souls who take on material bodies. As one body dies the soul moves onto another body as a person changes clothes. Therefore the essential teaching of the Gita is that we are not this body, we are not Indian, American, African, Hindu, Muslim, Christian etc or for that matter male nor female.

Identification with the material body is just the start of discrimination because soon we identify with family, society, town, city, state, country, nationality etc. This discrimation also extends to animals - e.g. those claiming animals have no souls. The Hindu scriptures tell us that every living entity is a soul occupying different bodies according to its desires/actions.

When we learn our true identity and our relationship to God we can then learn to live in harmony with others and our surroundings.

Examined carefully with a discerning eye and intellect, we can see that almost all attempts to cure disease, eliminate poverty, famine, wars and hatred have failed. The Bhagavad-Gita teaches us that all ventures become successful when done in relation to God. It advises step-by-step how to do this.

If they don't force their culture on others or don't think their culture is the best one. It always drives me mad that some people just create prejudices for themselves out of nothing, just because they want to. I live in UK and I love seeing many different cultures here and I hate the way they isolate themselves, like they live in a box and won't get out. I'm not suggesting that everybody should marry a person of different origin, but why can't we just be friends and get along and try to learn something about ourselves?

If everyone stopped talking about acceptance and just did it it would be a better world, but until all of us start looking at people for what they are, Which is JUST PEOPLE, we are never going to get there. I am not saying we would all the sudden be best friends but there would be a difference. But then again we also have to work on education, poverty, universal health care, and a slew of other thing. Until we do all of that you are just going to have to do what you can with your own actions and try to teach your children to see what we haven't and try to give them the tools to make their own change.

By loving and accepting one another regardless of our differences. The greatest impact you can have on another person is to show genuine love towards them. Love breaks down barriers and creates unity and harmony.
