Unless you are a record producer, there really isn't much you can do outside of being a fan.

He's gonna have to head out to open mic night if he hasn't been at that....that's where nearly every band in america got their start. Just call around to bars to find out...it's usually random draw if there are more bands than timeslots, but play a few times and the bar owner might just bring him in for a more prime spot.

My advice to you is to just to be supportive of him and be patient with the process or Also another thing I will do is write a letter explaining whats going onsend the demo to your local radio station to or find the addresses and send them to maybe 5 label companies (for instance like Warner Bros, cash money, no limit, Atlantic Records). I seen on television where this band was a local band like your daughter's boyfriend and they would set up concerts in their town maybe this will help a little bit. Its always plenty of things you can do if all fails you can just call or write the Tyra show, The montel williams show or even try the maury show. Hope this advice may help you and may even help me to develope my music career...GOOD LUCK

I'm a professional R&B singer and I KNOW how hard it is to get ur music out there..He could start by sending his music into college stations..they r very likley to play his music..college stations like unknown artists. Open Mike is anoth good one...any kind of tallent shows or spots for locall cellibrations r usually willing to listen to them and then book them for their event!
