Dream Of Alligator Chasing Me

first of all, have you seen any movies like that..? if not.. let's get back to the analysis of the dream..

Alligator chasing you is an event , you reaction is actually telling you about yourself in the dream.

Alligator = Danger.
You didn't exactly tell how you got away from it. so I assumed you did.

But you had lots of things around you..

boat and things. -- those are your dependents. In real life, you have lots of people who can help you get away from danger. And yet, the danger follows you. You said you got away barely, meaning you did get away. that means you overcome your feeling towards failure, whether or not you have help. It shows that you are a brave one and who can face any situation . You want to break thru something. Did anything or will anything happen lately??

That is my analysis. however, more detail about your life will be better to fully understand your dream..

Some people get very into dreams and they take them as signs of what will happen. Personally, I just think that if it bugs you, you should just try to forget about it and know that it was just a dream. Your imagination can take you anywhere! An alligator is not all that unusual or crazy of a dream considering the possibilities are limitless.

This means you ate some real nasty pizza right before you went to bad. Either that or your gonna get chased by an alligator in the jungle and he will eat you.

Well when researching this I found this information for you. Please note I do hate the cutting and pasting of things like this, however it was explained so well.

Alligator

This cold-blooded animal could hold several different meanings in your dream. It could symbolically represent something from your memory, emotions, or a current situation or individual in your life. Some think that the alligator represents verbal power used in a destructive way (angry and hurtful words). Others believe that it represents an enemy. Consider the details in your dream and your level of fear. This dream symbol should encourage you to look at some of your more "dangerous" emotions, memories, and experiences. The alligators in your dreams will begin to lose the power to frighten you as your understanding increases.

The waves in dreams may represent emotional fluctuations. If you are currently experiencing a period of tranquillity and peace, you may be dreaming about calm waters and gentle ocean waves. This dream suggests that you may be gathering energy and recharging emotionally. However, more commonly people dream of violent and dangerous tidal waves. Tidal waves or tsunamis suggest a period of emotional upheaval. Anxiety, stress, and unconscious materials may be coming to the surface and affecting your daily moods. Giant tidal waves may symbolise current emotional unhappiness and psychological stress, which are threatening to destroy you. The outcome of this dream may reveal how much strength you have to weather personal storms. For example, surviving the tidal wave suggests that you have enough strength to overcome challenges; and drowning that you may be in it over your head and should seek assistance.

Water’s meaning varies with the details and the mood of the dream. Water is a deeply spiritual symbol representing the water of life or the flow of life. Large bodies of water usually represent our unconscious minds or/and soul experiences. Water symbolises emotions; rough, smooth, clear, murky, etc.

As mentioned in all relevant dream symbols, bodies of water represent your unconscious, your emotions and your accumulated soul experiences. Depending on the content of the dream, several different interpretations could be made. The boat in your dream could represent you and the manner you navigate through your emotions. It could symbolize the voyage of your life, an adventure and exploration of your unconscious, or a connection to the people in your dream by pointing out something that all of you have in common ("in the same boat"). When interpreting this dream, consider the kind of voyage and the type of boat. Superstition-based dream interpretation books say that if the voyage is calm, you should go forward with your plans. However, if it is a very stormy voyage, get ready for an emotional upset (or challenge).

The alligator, of course, represents your anxieties, which must be great at the present time. I would advise exercise to take your mind off of your difficulties, and to increase your endorphin level. If all else fails and the dream recurs, visit your physician for help.

Hi Jesi! The alligator indicates that someone with great power or influence is directing verbal attacks at you. He/she may be lying or gossiping about you, or slandering you behind your back. These verbal attacks have pursued you, even though you have been able to move higher and get away from them temporarily. He/she has tried to move up with you, and you have felt pressure (current) in your situation. I'm sorry about your situation, but I hope this helps you understand the dream.

You should get out and run more. You must be afraid that you are so slow that an alligator can keep up with you.

I'm going to say: it's a warning--the next time you visit Florida, Mississippi, or any other alligator harboring place you should avoid swamps and boats.
