I live in Sonoma County, so I am looking for things on the northern ca coast or further north in the state- thanks

I took my wife to a b n b in gualala and she was very happy with it. It's called the seacliff motel, 2nd floor rooms are better. It's a short walk to the ocean and you have a nice view of it from your deck. Rooms also include fireplaces, jacuzzis, and champagne. You hear the waves all night long. It's great.

Fort Bragg and Gualala have some great inns to stay at. Also, inland in Lake county, I took my wife to the Featherbed Railroad Company. It's a Bed and Breakfast but the suites are train cabooses that have been renovated on the inside with very nice stuff. Hot tubs, A/C, the 'easy rider' car has a set of motorcycle handlebars mounted on the head of the bed...

Stillwater Cove Ranch is my fave romantic getaway! It's near Jenner on the coast.

Head up to Calistoga or Napa in the wine country. Stay at one of the spa's and do a couple's massage. Also try the Napa Wine Train, it is great!

Anyplace with an airport and you have a flight booked for someplace quite far away. ( Measured in flight hours. )
