Why do you want to grow up so fast? Why do you want to wear makeup and high heels and talk on cell phones? Why do you want to date? Why can't you just embrace your childhood?

I am not an 11 year old but the parent of one and I can tell you why. Look at the TV, Listen to the Music, worst of all-look at the clothes in the stores for this age group. I saw a padded push up bra in the girls section(not misplaced there mind you-purposely put there)-what girl needs that at that age? They are not given a child-ish day. They are expected to grow up-act their age-be more mature. Why? So that they fit society. The peer pressure is so harsh that they worry about not getting this hair cut, that outfit, or weight. The cell phones are not as much of an issue as the other things you listed. The world is growing up fast and expects the kids to do the same. Its sad but true

Well I have I cellphone, I have boyfriend, I wear heels but they are like one inch, I stay focus on school. I am not growing up to fast I am just a young lady and very spoiled and always get my way!! Got a problem

I totally agree. I remember the night before my 13th Bday I cried myself to sleep because I was no longer a kid anymore!

I'm 12, and i ask the exact same question. i think it's because they don't believe in cooties anymore, so they think that guys are the coolest thing on earth! and they want to impress them!

im 12 and i dont do that. i wear eyeshadow but i dont date or wear highheels cuz i think they r uncomfortable. i embrace my childhood!
