Bill Gates is #1, followed by Warren Buffet, Buffet, yesterday gave $30Billion in charity to the Gates Foundation to distribute it. Gates foundation is focusing on curing world diseases. Since Buffet gave away so much yesterday does he still count as the second richest? Personally, I would rather see Bill Gates make sure that owning his stock is profitable rather than constantly hearing that he and his wife Melinda gave Billions away. Some people with a lot less than Mr. Gates, Have tried to make money owning Microsoft and have not done it.

you know if Sam Walton didn't pass on, he would have still been the richest.
his kids got his fortune and it was split up in 6 ways. if you add those 6 kids' fortunes back up, they would beat mighty Bill Gates to a pulp..it would be up in the $80-90 bil area.

wal mart, a supermarket is bigger than a high tech software giant..who'd believe that??

it's true.
