And do they really believe that God is on their side- When they send our troops into a war built on lies? When innocent Iraqi civilians are being slaughtered for no reason? When people are detained in prison for years without being charged- all the while being tortured and humilated for the entertainment of the guards?

How can anyone who calls themselves a Christian think that God would condone all this? Is it ignorance, or just blatant hypocrisy?

Well, they really like the Old Testament, eye-for-an-eye, version of God. Turning the other cheek, which was an option after 9/11 just isn't manly. And, since we couldn't find Bin Laden and all Muslims look alike, and they're all terrorists anyway, we (uh Bush and Co.) attacked Iraq

Since when is believing in God a crime? I don't understand how anyone with christian values is labeled as a lunatic.

You need to start doing some research that doesn't involve some kook blog.

*Built on lies- we've found the womd
*slaughtering innocent iraqi's- is this from the desk of john murtha
*people in prision without being charged- this isn't a civilian prision so they do not get the rights of a US citizen (though it appears you'd rather give the enemy the rights of our constitution while burrying our soldiers that fight for your freedom to ask these questions)
*humiliation by guards- do you know how many military men and women there are? And you going to lump all of them in with the few bad apples.

What would God think if a man continued to stand by and do nothing while innocent people were being gassed and young women were bound to rape houses. Time to talk to some of the soldiers who have been there and seen the changes (and helped those changes occur) to appreciate what is really going on.

I am a non-Christian Conservative. How does that fit in with your rant? I don't believe that God is on my side, but right sure as hell is. What lies? Last I checked 500 canisters of sarin and mustard gas were just found. Slaughtered? Lets wait for the jury on that one. Don't want to get detained? Don't show up on a battlefield. But again, I don't have God on my side. I just think it is right.

Is it ironic that liberals slam the Constitution and Bill of Rights?? Using just the parts they want, like Freedom of Speach. But, say other parts like Right to Bear arms, is bad?
And if the soldiers are killing Iraqi citizens, why is it not all over the papers and news all the time?

Who said GOD has anything to do with this.....the persons who are engaged in these 'things' do so from a point of view of their own gain....and not GODS....read a HOLY BIBLE some time.....do comparisions and you will shortly note that SOME-ONE has to create the SITUATION/CIRCUMSTANCES for these 'things' to occur....and if those countries refuse to be exploited or due to the revenue they have to buy guns/artilitary/planes/tanks/etc. due to those buying oil then those countries have an obligation to protect those surrounding nations from INVASION by the afore mentioned....And GOD has nothing to do with it....it's all about OIL and what is being done with the revenue so gained by those countries that SELL same....

I think it's a little of both ignorance and hypocrasy, and in the case of our President, vanity. He wants to make a name for himself, leave a legacy. Unfortunately, the legacy he's leaving is one of massive debt, a possible civil war in a country we illegally invaded, and the selective enforcement of our constitutional rights.

No one is hiding behind God. No one in their right mind believes we are at war over religion....except maybe the person who asked this question. 'Nuff said.

Amazingly, anyone who wants to or tries to do something unagreeable invoke the name of the Lord (Jesus, Allah, etc.) or lords, depending on religion. Same with the kamikaze pilots, or, as you said, Jihadist suicide bombers.
