Keep a to-do list electronically so that you can constantly re-prioritize it. Print it out first thing in the morning, and keep it in your sight all day. Don't be afraid to put small tasks on the list. It will help you feel like you're accomplishing more during the day. Cross off tasks as you finish them and update the electronic copy at the end of the day.

If you need an hour or more to work on something, schedule the time on your calendar so that no one schedules a meeting for you. This also helps you keep yourself on track. Put aside other tasks (unless they're urgent, of course), and concentrate on that one project for the time you've scheduled. It really helps.

Colored folders. I totally love colored folders

red - urgent (easily found in stacks of paper)
orange - payroll, or semi-urgent
yellow - do soon
green - money
lt. blue - vendor files / correspondence
navy - technical stuff
maroon - dead time projects
big round beige can - duplicates, or not worth keeping
