How about (in summer) mowing lawns or cleaning gutters or washing windows? (in winter) if you live in a cold area, shovel snow. Also, how about cooking hot dogs and having a neighborhood hot dog and potato chip sale? Or have a garage sale and get rid of all the things your parents and you no longer need. You could also go door to door and shine shoes (thats really old fashioned and old timers would be nostalgic about it and would probably let you do it. You could have a shine kit and do the job right on the porch. You could also deliver a weekly newspaper, its just one day per week and it probably still uses kids to deliver. How about delivering flyers door to door? Some automobile dealerships and others will pay you to do that (have your mom or dad get involved at first to make sure its OK with everyone).
Good luck. I did all of these things when I was your age and most of them worked.
Also, I just remembered. You can always go to the neighbor and say "Do you have any chores I can do for $______per hour?" (Set your rate reasonable so you might get the job but be ready to work hard!)
yOU WILL SUCCEED

Mowing lawns is a good one. That's your best bet, I think, because you probably don't know about landscaping yet. Maybe you can paint your neighbors' fences or something, but make sure you know what you're doing. Arts and crafts might make a bit of money for you on the side, but you'll probably annoy the people you sell to unless you're a good artist.

You can sell your old cd's to a record store that sells used stuff. You can recycle all your soda cans and bottles, they give you money for recycled things. You could mow lawns, water lawns/plants, clean house for elderly neighbors or house sit/animal sit for neighbors when they go out of town. You could make things and sell them such as jewelry, arts and crafts stuff. Go to a crafts store near you to get ideas.

You could become a seamstress, or make pillows for sofas to sell. Learn short-hand, and typing, so when you turn 15 or 16, you can be like my mom when she was 14, and be a secretary in a law office!

at 13 your pretty limited on what you can do... babysitting, or dogsitting, dogwalking, housesitting (for people on vacation...water the plants, yard etc for them) or things like that... to advertise..get some index cards, or get on your computer and make up a flyer announcing your services. get mom or dad or friends to help you pass out the flyers... put them in laundry mats, apartment complexes, ask the manager at the local grocery store or convenience store if you can post one on their boards or in their window... go to storage units (self storage) they will usually let you keep a couple on the counter or post a flyer in their window for you... also post at your local skating rink, restaraunt, or any other place you visit frequently... if you live in a subdivision, see if your neighborhood has a community newsletter, or a message board and post one there too....

You could always sell candy. Ask your parents to loan you some money so you can sell some candy. You will have to pay them back tho but you will make profit.
