My dad asked me: "when you get your liscence, I will get you a car. but I only have a short amount." That got me thinking: What Car SHOULD I get? I have choices. cars that fit in the BMW, Honda, Benz, or Nissan Makes. Give me a model out of the 4 manufacturers that I should use. I'm putting my finger on the BMW M3. give me suggestions. Thanks!

An ///M3 is a very nice car, but they're costly to maintain. As long as you know that and can keep up with the maintenance on one, by all means buy a BMW.

Keep in mind that your first concern should be for safe driving...if you want to race, buy a regulation helmet and come join us for track days at your local raceway (they're not expensive, they'll help you drive better, and they're an adrenaline rush).

And if you buy a BMW, be sure to get a manual transmission. You'll have a lot more fun! ;)

You can buy an M3 with a "short amount"?? Interesting. I would start off with a 2-3 year old Ford Taurus. After a couple years and some snow, ice, and rain I would get a 330 xi. Much more car for the $$ and you probably don't live somewhere that allows drag racing on the streets, or has an Autobon, which is what the M3 is designed for. Your fist car should be a piece of s**t because you will most likely tear it up a bit.

For my first car I bought a 327ISE, a very rare piece with only 30 000 in the world they said. But I spent over twice the value of the car fixing that “collectors” item. If you can afford a new car then get any of the following BMWs in order of price:

1.M3 CSL
2.M3 SMG
3.330Ci
4.325i
5.323i

In my opinion you should get a mid size in exspensive model,an automatic transmission.Learn to drive, that is get to where you are comfortable behind the wheel, and confident in your ability to be safe driver. As for make,Nissan or honda till you have achived this.Insurance will be less than if you go for a high end auto like a bmw or benz.Repair cost is also a lot cheaper should you crash it.

I would go with a simple 2006 BMW 3 series, so then you could talk your father into stuff to make that car look pimp because the cheapest one is 30,000.
Or you could go with the cheapest Mercedes Benz that starts out at 29,900.00. I would go to http://bmw.com or http://mb.com to see which one you want.
For a Nissan I would go with an Altima, Maxima, or Z. For Honda I would go for the Ridgeline

for the price i would go with an e36 m3 or a 2001 BMW M Roadster or M Coupe. all 3 cars are under 18k $ in excellent conditions, speed, class, luxury and you get the girls too. best bet. look them up when you get a chance.

I will say, HONDA or NISSAN easy to control for a new drive. Also less expensive to repair for body damage. because you will have bumper hit or may to curb rashes on the wheel
