A couple free resources – check out the sources box for links:
1) Create a blog pertaining to your field
2) Use Yahoo! 360, Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups
Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission. We use ShareASale & pay out $25 to our affiliates once a sale is made & ShareASale takes another $5. $30 a sale is a pretty small price to pay for us. And I'm sure most programs like that allow you to set the commission rate (no point in your commission being half the price of a sale for you!)

i say the best place to start a business is ebay.
if you have alot to sell you can open a ebay store and it only costs $15 a month and they show you how to sell things its really easy and alot of people buy from ebay and its really popular all over the world.

if its hosting buy a reseller or ded and some support and billing programs..
