Sometimes I dream of future events in my life. I've done it many times before and it kind of freaks me out. One dream that particularly terrified me was a dream I had in which my church burned down one morning, and many people I know were killed in the fire--one of them being my own mother. I recently had another in which someone I know was killed in a car accident. None of this has actually happened, but a lot of my dreams in the past have happened, and I think that these might come true too. I don't know what it means. Can someone help me?

I'm not overly skilled at dream interpretation but I feel that the fire and the car accident aren't premonitions, they are just reflecting some emotions you may have.

Are you having issues with your church and spiritual beliefs? The church burning down could mean things you once believed aren't true for you anymore. You are becoming separated from them.

I know a dream interpreter that is really good. Here's a link to the group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Dreams-and-Visions/

Premonitions are rather vague warnings (never direct messages or clear pictures) that precede an accident or a disaster which usually happen very soon after (A few days - a week). Nightmares work in patterns and within noticeable intervals. A nightmare keeps on coming to you in the same form and content every time until it is overcome or challenged. From your description of your two dreams above, they are neither premonitions nor nightmares. They are just bad dreams that took place only once and disappeared.

yeah, sometimes the dreams that you have come true. That's the auto-convincing part, the dreams make you feel like you deserve it, and it's happenning to you just because u believe in them.
But dreams are dreams. If you dont care about them, they wont affect your day-by-day life.

Actually, not to scare you or anything, but some dreams are in fact, forewarnings of things to come. In these cases, though, I would tend to think that they won't happen. It usually happens with something of little consequence, not like the tragedies you described.
