If you've ever been to Red Lobster, what did you think of it? What did you order when you went and how did you like it? Do you think Red Lobster is the best mainstream seafood restaurant around? Is the only real reason you go there for the cheddar biscuits?

Oh the cheddar biscuits are good. Might be the only reason. The food is pretty good there, but there are so many other seafood restaurants (not chains) that are better.

The last couple of times I went to Red Lobster, I was extremely dissatisfied and dissapointed. These were two different Red Lobsters in different States. Fried Ship is overly cooked and the sauted shrimp has way too much butter and oil. I would rather go elsewhere for Seafood and have no further interest in ever visiting Red Lobster again. Olive Garden if far better than Red Lobster and for seafood - go to Bonefish Grill - it's the bomb

Love it - but it's not the best. City Island in New York, and the New England states have some real seafood places!

I usually order lobster or shrimp scampi, do like the biscuits, the service was good (but it was in city limits - so no smoking - even at the bar).

I went to this chain a few years ago and I was unimpressed. But after seeing the commercials I got the craving for good seafood so I went back I'm very glad I did because I probably never will go back again.
I ordered a lunch of shrimp scampi and crunchy fish. I thought the shrimp would come over pasta but my mistake, it didn't. the waitress could not tell me what kind the crunchy fish was but it was so bad I couldn't eat it.
My Dad's broiled flounder was so bland that I had to take him to none other than Charlie Brown's to get the flounder he expected from a seafood restaurant.
To top it off, because I was in a large party, we were not aware that the tip was already included in the bill. The waitress got tipped double that day.
If I ever get the craving for seafood again, I'll probably go to Charlie Brown's-lol.

I love going to Red Lobster. The food is good, the waitstaff is always pleasant, and it has a very family-friendly atmosphere. One time, my daughter wanted to touch one of the live lobsters, so the manager took her over to the tank and pulled one out so she could pet it. Not all restaurants will be so accommodating to children.

I ordered fried clam strips and fried shrimp with a baked potato. Their baked potato is fantastic. It's a pretty good restaurant. The service is generally top notch and the price is reasonable. Yes, the biscuits are great too. But the clams are the reason I go.

Red Lobster is to seafood as Taco Bell is th Mexican Cuisine.
It is fine if you dont mind shrimp the size of your fingernail, but it isnt really a haute cuisine place.

Red Lobster is to seafood as Sizzler is to steak. For those not familiar with Sizzler, ITS TERRIBLE. Scomas on fisherman's wharf in SF is the best seafood. And while I am at it, Ruth's Chris is awesome for steaks.

The food is average, but not top notch. For people in areas without any real seafood options (rural or small cities) it is okay. Unfortunately, it is really too pricey for what you get. You are right, the biscuits are yummy.

My favorite seafood restaurant. I order the lobster, crab, scallops, and shrimp plate. Mmmmm seafood.
