I was 10 when I learned on a dirt road. But I got my permit at 15, and my license at 16. My first car is the bomb, a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500.

I learned how to drive when I was 11 because my dad said I needed to learn how to control the wheel and how to keep control of the truck and etc before I went for my permit when I was 16. But I also grew up in the country so that was kinda common then-

At what age can you learn to spell things correctly??
You can learn to drive at any age. I learned at 12 on my family's farm, but you can't get a legal permit until 15 1/2. You can apply for your first license at 16.

Depends on the state. In NY you have to be 16 to get a permit to drive. I suppose you could learn to drive without a proper permit/license as long as you stay off the roadway

That varies according to where you live. You need to find out the laws for your state.
My first car was a low priced chevy. You want a first car that is low priced but dependable. Also check that repairs aren't going to run a fortune. Make sure you have a mechanic check it out. Good looks are nice but cost money. You need to decide what is important to you when buying.

i suppose you can learn at age, as long as you can touch the pedals and see over the steering wheel. mississippi law requires you to be at least 15 for a learner's permit. i would buy a cheap (less than $1000.) car as my first car so i wouldn't have a car payment.
