I didn't use that with either of my kids...they went from regular formula to whole cow's milk. I think this is just a sham for formula producers to make money. Both of my kids are completely healthy on whole milk...they're thriving, good-sized kids, and rarely sick.

Best bet when it comes to any formula, ask your pediatrician. I received the same sample. I think that I am just going to go straight to cow's milk at 12 months like I did with the other three kids. I think it's made to help aid in any digestion problems. If your baby is already on a soy product or a lactose free formula, your Dr. may recommend it.

When your baby is over a year than yes, you can use it but you don't have too. I would just mix and wean off the formula to milk. Make sure that you watch out for milk allergies. My 3rd, out of 4, has a bad lactose intolerance issue. I didn't know that he had a problem until I started mixing his formula with milk after he turned one. Ask the pediatrician when you take her to her 1 year appointment. They will tell you the best and most comfortable way to do it.

You can give this to babies that are 9-36 months old. If you already put her on regular milk, stay with it. If you haven't yet you can choose which one. The only difference is more vitamins and minerals that are in the formula. But regular milk will be jusr as nutrient. Good Luck!!!

probably only if you want to. ask the pediatrician. my 4 month old is on Enfamil with Lipil, and I havnt even heard of the "next step". i guess with with my first one being 9 years old, things have changed, and they do change quickly when it comes to babies/toddlers with how things are done.

No. If she is doing fine on whatever you have her on now, I would leave her on it until 12 months. Then what we did was mixed the whole milk with the formula and just kept adding more milk every few days until we had our off of formula.

If it was free why not?
At least use up the samples. Then you can decide if its worth it.
I think it would be useful if you or dad had a family history of milk allergies. Otherwise, you can just use whole milk.

I have two kids and run a home daycare center, I've never used the next step or had anyone in my care using it. My doctor did not recommend it, either. I would say that if your baby is a healthy weight that you don't need to worry about it.

no it isn't necessary.
when you feel that she is ready the bast way to change from formula to milk is to transition her
6 oz for. 2 oz milk
half and half
2 oz for. 6 oz milk
do each for about 1 1/2-2 weeks
that is what i did with my son and had no problems.
good luck

I tried that stuff with my baby, he did not know the difference, but I did not like it. The scoop is double the regular scoop and it was really hard to make a bottle with it. I would save my money if I were you.
