Assuming I am someone who does not vote (which I'm not, I vote every election) If you were trying to change my mind away from the party I was going to vote for to yours what would you say to change my vote?

Your right Ernie....I think I worded this wrong. I'm asking why you feel the party you will vote for (whether is Democrat, Republican whichever the case) Would be the best choice to be the next leader for our nation.

I was just wondering what popular majority on yahoo answers is....No need to be insulting! I have a Bachelor's Degree and I know how I am registered to vote! If you want to pick on people go where they sit around and talk about the size of their ***** all day.

I'd use your name, like, I'd be all, I'd say, "So, hi, Karen. How are you?"

Then you'd say something like, I don't know, what do girls talk about... okay, then you'd be all like, "Hi. Wanna go shopping for shoes?"

Then I be like, "Karen, did you know that my political party gives away," away, um, I don't know, so I'd stammer a little bit.

Then you'd say, "What do they give away?" Because you'd be all interested.

And I would be like, "I forgot what I was talking about."

Then you would ask me to get some ice cream with you. Then we'd probably make out or something.

Personally, I tend to vote Republican, however I do not vote solely for the party. It is about the candidates (I have been known to vote independent and libertarian) and the issues.

Why would I try and sway someone to the Republican party? Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't think I could right now as I am considering making the official leap to libertarianism. So, why am I thinking of doing that? The reps have abandoned many of their basic platforms which used to include:

- smaller government
- less government intervention
- individual rights and responsibility
- lower taxes
- strict interpretation of the Constitution
- family values
- strong defensive military

I find that the libertarians are the party most invested in maintaining the country the way it was originally intended. Plus, the republicans are way too concerned with peoples bedrooms and private lives. Libertarians are more "live and let live" as long as you follow the rules.

I would tell you to vote on the issues and the candidate's character and not the party affiliation. I lean left, so it's obvious how I would vote, but that does not mean that is the only way I vote. If I agree with a Dem or Rep, I'll vote for that person.

Well, that would depend on which party you currently intend to vote for -- this is not a "one size fits all" answer.
