Can handicaps donate blood?

My friend has polyneuritis but lives a normal life.Can he do?

I am not for sure. I know a person with M.S. can't....tell him to call a blood bank and ask them; they'd know.

If they take off their hockey helmets first, they might make it past the first set of screeners :)
