Politicians in similar countries, like Canada or Western Europe don't talk about God, they talk about policy. What's up with America?

Conservative baptists are a fairly united group, just like teachers' unions, labor unions, etc. Anyone that can align a big block of voters into a united group will attract the attention of politicians. Conservative baptists are very good at exercising the power their union gives them. Their platform is a lot clearer and better laid out than either political party (of course, political parties usually have to cater to a more diverse group, which makes laying out a platform agreeable to all a lot more difficult). About the only area where evangelicals disagree with each other is about what should be done about the environment.

If politicians word things right, even non-baptist Christians will find their words appealing, even if they wouldn't set up their list of priorities in quite the same order as your conservative baptist groups.

Does your hero Obama know you experience this way approximately his hero? yet Hitler and Stalin did consider you. So a minimum of you recognize that your government ideology is in step with different great atheistic minds.

American politicians lack substance or intelligence. They bank on the fact that we believe in God. Unfortunately, most of the mindless midwest does, and follows like sheep.

Because God is such an important issue in Our Country. If you were to look and read on the back of a One Dollar bill, it states, IN GOD WE TRUST.

Because it's part of Bush's propaganda. The Christian population in the U.S. is so grand, if you have their vote, no one else's counts. I agree with you, we should be discussing policy for the greater good and take God out of the popularity polls.
