It depends on the source, I have heard them referred to as calves and hatchlings in general but depending on the species they sometimes also have specific names.

Thank you very much!!!! My son found this question and wants to know too!!!
I have just tried ringing the Natural History Museum but the palaeontology lady is out until Monday! However, they do have a very good website for you to explore!
From what I can gather, having searched the internet, I can only find them referred to as baby dinosaurs.
What I do know is that a big problem with dinosaurs is that babies change as they grow up, so sometimes they have called the baby dinosaur a different species to the adult. To explain this simply to your son, take the frog. The eggs are called frogspawn. From the frogspawn, tadpoles develop. these slowly turn into frogs. However, if you found a fossilised tadpole, there is no way you would think it would grow up into a frog, you would think it was a different species.
There is a lot we do not know about dinosaurs but so far as I can discover, they all laid eggs.
I hope this helps a little bit!!!

I've heard raptor young called chicks and i think the large herbivores such as diplodocous called calves.
Edit: On Walking with Dinosaurs on the BBC i think, so may not be right terminology because the whole thing was a made up.

Unfortunately I don't think they have a name really - just baby triceratops, or baby tyrannosaurus rex - not very exciting.
One perfectly preserved baby dinosaur fossil found in Colorado has been the focus of alot of recent interest, and is known as Baby Louie, but thats not quite what you meant I reckon!

they are usually just called baby dinosaurs, but when I was younger and thought that dinosaurs were the best things ever I came to know them as "Hatchlings"

I don't think baby dinosaurs have a special name.
Here is a game your son might enjoy!
