unfortunately portugal have never won the world cup. this is only their third appearance in the finals since 1930. in their first in 1966 they lost 2-1 in the semi final to eventual winners england they did however beat the then ussr 2-1 to secure third place.they did not qualify again until 2002 when they went out in the group stages. hope this answers your question

Never. Their best performance was in the 1966 World Cup where they made the semi-finals losing 2-1 to England in the sem-finals. The great Eusebio scored 9 goals for the tournament for the Portuguese. In the semi-final, Bobby Charlton played his best ever match for England scoring two goals with Eusebio slotting a penalty for the Portuguese. The current team plays England in the quarter-finals and for mine are favourites to beat the English.

Portugal hasn't made it this far since the 70s. I am very proud that they are doing so well. I think that they will beat England and probably lose to Brazil....but I have faith in Portugal!
