The bump is located near the bottom of his rib cage. It is between the ribs and long appear to move. He went to the doctor a while back and the doctor said it was nothing to worry about. However, since we have been working out and he lost some weight it is more noticeable. He is worried that it may be something serious. He has an apt go to the Dr in 2 weeks. In the mean time he is a bundle of nerves. Any ideas of what this could be?
Thanks!

It sound like you're talking about the sternum. This is the part of the rib cage where the ribs meet. If I interpreted your description correctly, the bump is simply part of the sternum, where the end of a rib is protruding from the surface of the chest a little. It's actually a part of the rib cage, so it is a bone. It's more pronounced on him now, because he lost some weight, but it's probably always been there. I have the same thing and it doesn't seem to be a problem; it's always been there. But he should go to the doctor just to make sure.

this is demanding to inform and not using a biopsy and that i'm no physician notwithstanding it feels like something she desires to get looked at NOW. I had a breast lump and they stated if it became demanding and painfull, they'd be fearful because this is commonly how maximum cancers acts. I were given my lump bumped off and each little thing is fantastic, no maximum cancers, yet your relative desires to pass to the physician asap. maximum cancers isn't something you want to play round with for extremely lengthy. it would want to spread and then....properly purely get it checked once accessible. next week per chance? Make an appointment, do not gamble. My mom died of maximum cancers even as she became 40 2 and that i became 15. do not enable that ensue.

My husband found a small, round bump in exactly the center of his breastbone. Turned out it was a fat cyst (deposit of fat). Could it be the same? Maybe he has lost weight because of the workout. I hope it's not something serious!
