six to eight weeks depending on how you heal. Basicially, you are healed when your piercing stops getting "crusties" Vitamin C and Zinc will help you heal faster. You can use a stud, or a nose bone, but those a dangerous as the skin inside your nose can sometimes grow over it and then you have to have it surgically removed. They also tend to fall out easier, which makes it risky if you want to keep the piercing permanent. Nose holes close up the fastest. If you lose it in your sleep, your piercing could be almost closed by morning.

The screws or rings are better in the long run. If you are changing it pretty soon (less than 2 months) after you got it pierced, be careful with what kind of jewlery you chose. Make sure it is surgical steel, titanium or if you chose gold, that it is nickle free. Nickle in an open wound is so not a fun party.

You probably got pierced with a custom bent nose screw and its been a week or so and now its kinda bugging you. Thats because you are pierced with jewelery made to accomidate the swelling. The swelling went down, so now you have extra length that you dont need. You should call your piercer and see if they can rebend it for you so that it is more comfortable.

Next time, dont be so afraid to ask questions. You just let someone poke a hole in your body AND you gave them money. If they get pissed off because you want knowledge, then take your business elsewear. Its not worth gettin and infection or getting ill because you didnt want to ruffle someones feathers.

Congratuations and happy healing!!!!!

at least a month, just a stud (like an earring stud) wont stay put and it will irritate the inside of your nose they do have studs that have a ball on the end of it that is larger than the shaft but you have to push the ball through your nose hole. ouch. personally I prefer the cork screw nose jewelry there simple, stay put and don't snag on things. Yes the first time you change your ring it might be a little tender but it should not be painful. if it hurts than it's probably not healed all the way yet, just needs a little more time.

6-8 weeks and use some kind of cleaner to clean it until the peircing isn't hurting or it's been around 8 weeks or so.

Didn't they tell you? I would recommend a screw otherwise the first time you sneeze, whoosh gone and if your someplace where yo don't have something to put in it u are in for a lot of pain when you get home and try to force something in it.
