Yes. 4/30/89. They both pictched 8 innings and Clemens struck out 6 but was outdueled by the express who had 11 strikeouts in a 2-1 win. 5/5/89 Clemens outdueled Ryan in a 7-6 game. Clemens had 9 ks while Ryan had 3 in 6.1 innings. 0n 9/7/92 Clemens outdueled Ryan again, but of course the Rangers didn't score. Sox won 3-0 with both starters going 8 innings. Clemens had 9 ks while Ryan had 6.

No pitcher ever really "faces" another pitcher. That's just silliness created by the media to hype games.

Unless you meant when one was a batter while the other was pitching. Then "no"
