♡Very interesting Q.!!(*^o^*)
By bathroom, you mean TOILET facilities, am I right? If so, yes there are still some, FEW, but some. I say this because in my town, I know of two and have actually used one when I just couldn't wait to get home. (I don't really care for this type of restroom though!) The two I know of, one is at a public park and the other is at the welfare center. I volunteer at the handicap resident center twice a month and walk there, so on my way home, I always pass it. When I used it, I was shocked when I went in, I walked back out fast! There were urinals on the walls and then toilet stalls. I asked an elderly women and she kindly informed me that it was a public toilet for men AND women. She even went in with me to assure me that it was true! I usually see the elderly coming out of it. ~The Starbucks at Tokyo station 'supposedly' has a unisex bathroom, I have never gone in to confirm it though as I'm always in a rush! I have seen a few others on our drives to the country side too. So, yes, there are still a few.
~As for unisex baths, onsen/hot spring, YES, there are still some unisex onsen still around. Usually open air type hot spring in beautiful natural settings. BUT! Usually the elderly like to use them. Few young people use them. I have seen them in Hakone, Tochigi, Shiobara... I have used it twice, (once was just my hubby and me- deserted!) but I prefer the separate, reservation or private room hot spring. Hope this helps!♡

I was wondering whether you actually mean onsen / hot springs, too!

I've seen people on this web-site insist that Japanese public toilets are unisex!!! That's why I'm wondering ... because I know that many people use the term 'bathroom' as a more polite substitute for 'toilet'!! But I'm sure you're not daft enough to believe that Japan has unisex public toilets, so I'll go with the onsen!

It's true that there are mixed onsen still around, and it's also true that the only women who use them are old!! I'm not sure about the men, I think it's a mixture of desperate young men hoping to see 'hot chicks' and old men who just don't care!

When you say Bathroom do you mean Hot Springs / Spas etc..?

There are still a few around, especially further from the big cities, but they are disappearing.

Most good-sized Hot Springs will have a private bath, which families / couples can hire by the hour at very reasonable rates...

If you do a lot of hiking, most natural Hot Springs are unisex. Usually all the guys nude up but most women won't in a situation like this. They will be prepared and wear a swimsuit or drape a towel around themselves.

Hell...just as in the west a surprising percentage of young Japanese women are too shy to nude up even in the all female hot springs with their families...

Like everyone says the difference is bath HOUSE or bath ROOMS I'm guessing.

Bath houses yes. They have konyoku but ususally there are alternative baths where it's men or women only as well. I've never been to an onsen (natural spring) or sentou (Public Bath house) where they had ONLY konyoku.

As for bath ROOMs as in where you go no.1 or no.2, I have no knowledge of unisexual bathrooms....Unless you mean like your usual Starbucks that have only one restroom for both sex.

There ARE.
You can search using keyword 'konyoku'
(but this can also give lots of stupid sites, so be careful).
