I believe it is a motion for reconsideration. Employee went after employer for damages couldn't get any so is now going after former manager.

that means there has been a decision made against you. whatever the judgment may be, it is a decision made by the judge (and sometimes jury) that you are at fault. usually it results in an awarding of money for the other party - to be paid by you. a motion for consideration is what you file when you want the judge to consider a point. they are filed on any number of issues and without more info, i wouldn't be able to tell you what the judge was being asked to review.

Based on the balance of evidence the judge has found against you and made an award. The motion for consideration is a chance to give reasons why the damages assessed against you should be lessened.

Can you be more specific? And are you talking about a Motion for Consideration--which I've never heard of--or a Motion for Reconsideration, which I have heard of?

It means that the judge has ruled that you owe the other person money. Without more context I can't say what might be meant by "motion for consideration."

Motion For Consideration is to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to hold you liable for judgment in your civil case. In other words, if you receive a judgment against you, it usually results in a monetary one in which you will owe/pay the defendant.
