Just wondering, because i did earlier - it turned out to be a piece of foil, and it felt strangely weird! Is it normal to like the feel of things getting crushed inder your flip flops!?

Your flip flops aren't the cause of the sensation; they just allowed the foil to get in there.
Our feet are very sensitive.

Especially the ones from Old Navy; I can feel almost everything I step on, but I've never broken through the shoe and it rarely hurts.

Umm.... ya! I step on things all the time when I walk home. The walk gets sooo boring after you have done it a thousand+ times! So I step on things on purpous to keep me busy!! Sad, i know! LOL! =)
