I was upstairs in my sophomore apartment/dorm. My roomie hollered up the stairs at me. I couldn't believe it, I just stood there looking down at her in complete shock. Needless to say, it was an excellent excuse not to attend classes.

I was pregnant asleep on the couch when the news flash came across the TV. I woke up and told my boyfriend I had a real F'd up dream. It was about the Princess dying. He informed me that it was not a dream and that I must have heard the news in my sleep.

I was driving home from Washington DC & the radio announce That Princess Di had been critically injured in a car accident... Then 5 minutes later they reported that she had died.

no but the day kurt cobain died my friends and i had gone to the movies, got out to our car and kept hearing Nirvana songs on the radio and were like, what did kurt cobain die or something? and then the DJ came on and said,in case you haven't heard...
