Ironically this administration will unite the USA because they will push us too far by taking away our right and liberties. Then the people with revolt and stand up but no till they really make us feel it. What is going on now with the wire tapping the flag burning and the money tracing and the administration trying to silence the news from reporting the news. All this is just the beginning. You have to start small and before you know it you are living under a dictatorship. That is how all of them formed, Hitler did not come into Germany and just say kill all the Jews he had to put fear in people first.

The political game is antagonistic to your wishes, unfortunately. The desire within political parties is power, and some will go to any length to obtain it and keep it. This is probably natural, to some degree. People tend to band together for mutual interests: protection, advancement, etc. Political parties are an outgrowth of this. They purport to stand for the interests of the party members, and their sworn enemy becomes the other party. That's a short answer, at least.
