My best friend showed me an area on her breast that is large and red- looks like some sort of rash. She said it does not itch much but it feels a little warmer than the rest of her skin. She woke up one morning and noticed it and she said it is bigger now than it was originally. I would say its about 3-4 inches across and its on the inner side of her breast not touching the nipple but close to it. She is afraid it could be a sign of cancer. Is this possible or is it something else? She's worried and doesn't have health insurance at her new job yet so I'm trying to get some info for her! Please help!

She needs to go to the doctor ASAP! All females need to be aware of this. Yes it could be a type of cancer called ITB (Inflammatory Breast Cancer). Its not detectable by a mammogram, only by a MRI. Your friend can try Planned Parenthood or some clinic. Today I received an e-mail (video) about it and your friend has two of the symptoms. If anyone wants to see this video you can e-mail me at: janleo67@yahoo.com

Red Mark On Breast

Ok, this red spot has a good chance of being cancer, it could also be lack of calcium in her body, or a large calcium deposit. Eggs get the same exact thing, it is the small, or large white crusty looking bump on the egg, the egg is still perfectly fine, just the shell looks bad. Anyways, how to tell if she has breast cancer: sit down in a chair and keep her back straight. Then, you can do this for each side, tell her to raise her arm into the air above her head. If small bumps, around the nipple mostly, appear, then she has breast cancer, if not then it is not breast cancer and you can check that off your list. Tell her to eat well and exercise good, and maintain a good attitude as well, this is very important, it will raise her self confidence. I hope you friend will get better, and I hope i helped.

Go to a doctor right away and even if he doesn't think it's not anything, still tell him you want tests done. My cousin had this and it ended up being the worst kind of breast cancer, except it was all over her breast. The kind of breast cancer I am talking about (forget the name of it) does not show up on a mammogram. My cousin ignored this and it ended up being stage 4 cancer.

Yes this could be something very serious. there is a rare form of cancer that dr's rarely see and it is called Inflammatory Breast Cancer. She needs to go get it checked out ASAP. I found a web-site that may help her get more information on this. It is a fatal form of cancer if not caught and treated on time. Good luck to her.

There could be a reason for it to be a ball that is involved in breast cancer!

Maybe it's caused by her bra, dry skin, or detergent. Tell her to try a cortisol cream in the meantime.
