i just recently changed the spelling of my first name coz i was told that my birth name would bring disloyal people in my life...what do you think?

Hi! It all depends on the other energies present in your life...i.e. your astrological chart to mention one. There is negative and positive in ALL forms of energy.It's up to each individual to use his/her potential. To answer your question though, yes numerology is valid. Numerology is a science just like astrology. For every letter, sound, color, gem stone, emotion, number etc. there is a corresponding energetic coding/vibration.
Lastly, the energy that would draw disloyal people into your life, might be karmic and therefore must be worked out in order to avoid. Changing your name would add a new vibration for any karma to "play" against but it wouldn't completely cancel it out. After all, it was your higher self that chose your own name.You whispered it to your parents. What each person does each minute, shapes their near future, awareness is the first step and if you treat others with loyalty, in return they will be loyal to you regardless of how your name is spelled. :P

Numerology does not work. It is too subjective. If you spell your name in English and use numerology to figure stuff out, it will be different results than if you spell your name in spanish and use the spanish alphabet to figure it out. Because the spanish alphabet has more letters in it and therefore will have different results. The alphabet is just a system that we came up with in order to communicate. As we can see from various languages, it is just a matter of chance that we have come up with so many letters. The only reason why our numbering system is in intervals of ten is because we have ten fingers. That's it. If we had eight fingers we would be counting, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20. That's just my opinion.
