4, if you mean 2 x 2 = 4. If you meant 2 to the power of 2, or 2 squared, then the answer is still 4.

There is something wrong with our education system when a 16 year old does not know what the heck 2 times 2 is equal to.

Honey go get some tutoring or extra help that is not good. If you are honestly having trouble Sylvan learning center might be a good idea.

assuming that by * you mean multiply then 2*2 =4
