I was at home on my own. My wife rang and told me to turn the tv on. I asked what channel - she said any!!!! I couldn't understand what was going on, I thought I was watching some sort of terrible movie. A couple of minutes later, the 2nd tower collapsed.
Most shocking thing I ever saw in my life

At work. I was working at the time as a before and after school instructor for the YMCA. When the first plane crashed I was getting breakfast sat out for the kids. When the second plane crashed I was getting them all off to their classes. Imagine explaining the horrible events to 20 children under the age of 12.

For 45 minutes I was in complete oblivion about what happened. I usually leave early for work because it's a long commute so I can't watch the news and the radio had gone out in the car. So for 45 minutes, I listened to a cd.
But when I walked in the door, that was when I found out. Just a few days before, someone asked me what I thought of George W. and I told him I thought he was an idiot. I have yet to rescind that opinion.

I actually skipped school that day. I was walking down the street with my then-boyfriend and one of his drunk neighbors came out and told us to look at the TV so we went in his house and saw what was going on. I remember being real scared and I didn't know if we were going to war or what. Nobody had any idea who was behind it. The drunk guy put a bandana around his head and said he would go to war. I was just sad. So many people died and they didn't deserve it :(

I was at work when I heard that a plane went into the first building and then the second plane went into the second building. I got the worst cold chills I have ever felt in my life. Peace to those we passed and I'll always remember that day. God Bless.

Camping in central Oregon. The neighbouring R V had a satellite T V. I could hardly wait to get home to my own T V. What a shock and tragedy.

At my new house in Tunisia. My husband was watching tv and flipped to a news channel and called me as soon as he realized what was going on. It is 4pm over there when it happened. I will never forget that day, and my heart and prayers go out to all those who lost loved ones on that day.

I was at work and heard it on the radio and then started checking the internet. I remember they started showing live news coverage in one of our large conference rooms. Some of my co-workers had family on one of the planes and others had family living in Manhattan that were affected :-(
