My dad has the only key to my 2thousand year old ford tractor and he is 1100 miles away, I just need to know how to wire that thing without the switch so i can run it.

If you only have one wire to ignition switch then that wire just grounds ignition signal to shut engine down, all you have to do is dissconnect wire and not let it touch ground(anything metal) then vehicle should start and to shut off all you have to do is touch wire to ground(anything metal)

you need to hot wire the coil,,,and then also run a jumper wire to the solenoid,,,then you can turn it over,,but you will have to disconnct the jumper wire you put on the positive side of the coil,,or run it to a switch of your own making
